Internal medicine deals with treatment, diagnoses and prevention of the diseases associated especially with adults. The doctors who are specialist in internal medicine are called internists. So the question arises that what is internal medicine actually and why is it different from regular medical treatment. The answer lies in the fact that the internists are experts in solving the complex health issues. They have relatively more experience in treating adult problems, possess exposure to dedicated training and have the ability to deal even with the most complex health problems.
